Nintendo hints at Wii Demos in Nintendo Power

Every Nintendo Power magazine has a sweepstakes that you can enter. The sweepstakes form has 10 questions for people to answer. The latest Nintendo Power magazine had 3 interesting questions about Wii demos, which you can see for yourself:

I sure hope Nintendo is using our responses to this question and that they release Wii demos soon.

Super Mario Galaxy Storyline

The latest Nintendo Power magazine printed the storyline for Super Mario Galaxy. Here is the storyline for your viewing pleasure:

“Every hundred years a comet passes over the Mushroom Kingdom and rains down magical stars and stardust, and as Princess Peach and the citizens of the kingdom are celebrating the centennial event, Bowser and his legions attack. As Mario attempts to put a stop to Bowser’s shenanigans, but things go awry: the next thing he knows, he finds himself on a mysterious moon high above the Mushroom Kingdom.”

Nintendo Power Rates Metroid Prime 3 a 10/10

As you can see from the small and blurry scan of part of a page of Nintendo Power magazine, Nintendo Power rated Metroid Prime 3: Corruption a 10/10. I'll definitely have to look into getting this game because I love FPS games, though I think the Metroid Prime games are ok. But after seeing all the positive reviews and stuff about this game, I might have to check this out.

Nintendo Power September 07 Issue Summary

Here's a summary of the September 2007 issue of Nintendo Power Magazine:

1. Mario Kart Screenshot:
2. Thrillville will boast 34 carnival-themed mini-games and 100 missions
3. Spider-Man Friend or Foe is definitely coming to the Wii

4. Victorious Boxers to hit North America this September
5. Deep Wii Fishing will feature 100 different species of fish and 30 locations
6. Mario can turn into a Boo to go through walls in Mario Galaxy and we can expect some old-school power-ups in the game
7. DDR Bundle for Wii will include the dance pad which connects to the GameCube controller port and if you already have the GameCube DDR Mario Mix dance pad, it will work with the game (so I suggest getting the game alone if you already have it)
8. Sweet new (a few) Metroid Prime screenshots in the magazine (at least I haven’t seen some of these yet). The game dialogue will be completely voiced, but Samus won’t speak. The game will never dip below 60fps. The game’s mood is like Ridley Scott’s Alien. The game is over 30 hours long (based on the calculation they have given).
9. Next feature in the magazine looks at WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008. You can taunt in the game by holding the C button and using the Wii-mote and Nunchuk to taunt your enemies in motion. The game will have modes like hard-core matches, fatal four-ways and triple threat.
10. WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 Developer Interview: “the challenge with bringing our title to the Wii is to make it fun, to make it light, and to make it easy to use, so that it matches with the Wii user and with the platform…(another dev speaks) on the programming side, actually did a lot of research on the hardware, and researched what was the correct direction to get the best feedback in terms of moving the controller and how to assign different things to different areas of the controller. We put a lot of effort into really full researching the hardware.”
11. Next up is Super Smash Bros. Brawl…we all know this info already but the confirmed playable characters are as follows: Mario, Link, Kirby, Pikachu, Meta Knight, Pit, Samus, Zero Suit Samus, Wario, Snake, Fox McCloud, Zelda and Bowser

Game Ratings:

Mario Strikers Charged - 8.5/10

Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 Details from Nintendo Power

Here are some things from the latest issue of Nintendo Power about Rayman Raving Rabbids 2:

“We decided to go with the Wii for Rayman and forget all the other consoles, even as ports; they wouldn’t be as interesting without the Wii controls.” - Xavier Poix, Ubisoft employee

“One of the big highlights from the first Rayman Ravubg Rabbids was the up-tempo rail-shooter levels that served as the final challenges of some stages. They’re back in a big way - the new cinematic look to the levels is revolutionary. The game’s producers can barely contain their excitement: “This is a totally new technique; it just didn’t exist before. It took about six months to develop before we were sure we could actually do it.”" - Chris Shepperd, Nintendo Power editor

Sounds interesting... Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 coming only to Wii and also a new technique that it uses. I may just have to look into this game.
