Wii is winning the console war!

The XBox 360, for the longest time, has been winning the console war, but that's because it was the only next gen console out at the time. Then came the PS3 and Wii. Slowly the sales rose for the two new systems, particularly Wii. Could Wii actually overpass the XBox 360, even though it came out about a year before Wii did? Well today, I can now say that it can. Recent sales data shows that the console that has sold the most to date is Wii. Here's a graph to help visualize it:

That is certainly impressive since the XBox 360 has been out much longer than Wii has. And not only that, it is still hard to find a Wii in stores. I have yet to see one for purchase at a store since launch. Truly amazing. So, let's celebrate the new king of consoles, and I'm sure Wii will stay king at the rate its sales are going. All hail King Wii! Oh, and I just want to point out that this means Nintendo now rules the videogame market since Wii is the #1 selling console and the DS/DS Lite is the #1 selling portable. Long live Nintendo!
