Wow, all this time and part of the firmware update goes unnoticed. One of the biggest parts of the update is something that has just been discovered. Now, on the Wii Shop Channel and Wii Message Board, you can use a USB Keyboard (most of them work, but not all) to type things. It still doesn't work on the Internet Channel, but it's still a step in the right direction. I don't have a USB Keyboard so I can't try it or anything, but if you do have one, you should try it and see if it works. I still can't believe it took that much time to figure this out.
